THC Spirit Dosage: How Much THC Spirit Should You Drink?
THC spirits are not vodka with a different label.
With a THC spirit, the amount in your glass matters more than the size of the bottle, the mixer, or how confident you felt when you opened it.
Little Rick THC Spirits come in 750ml bottles with 200mg Delta-9 THC total. That does not make 200mg one serving. It means you need to measure your pour.
Quick Answer: How Much THC Spirit Should You Drink?
If you're new to THC, a 2.5mg to 5mg THC serving gives you much more room to understand how your body responds.

People with some THC experience may prefer 5mg to 10mg, while stronger servings make more sense only when you already know your tolerance.
The bottle isn't the dose.
The pour is the dose.

How Much THC Is in a Little Rick THC Spirit Bottle?
Little Rick currently makes THC Spirits in Raspberry Coconut and Black Cherry.

Each current Spirit is:
-
750ml
-
200mg Delta-9 THC per bottle
-
non-carbonated
-
made to drink as-is, mix, or share
-
zero sugar
-
0 calories per listed serving
-
made with real fruit ingredients and natural flavorings
The bottles use full-spectrum hemp extract and are positioned as a measured, shareable alternative to opening a ready-to-drink can.
Bottle Strength vs Serving Strength
This is the part worth getting right.
200mg THC per bottle tells you the total strength of the bottle. It does not tell you how much THC is in your glass.
A 750ml bottle gives you enough liquid for many separate pours.
Treating the entire bottle like one drink would be less “cocktail hour” and more “clear tomorrow's calendar.”
How to Calculate THC Per Pour
The math is refreshingly boring.
Little Rick's current bottle contains:
200mg THC ÷ 750ml = about 0.27mg THC per ml
Once you know that number, you can estimate the THC in different pour sizes.
|
Pour Size |
Approx. THC |
|
10ml |
2.7mg THC |
|
15ml |
4mg THC |
|
20ml |

8mg THC |
|
45ml / about 1.5 oz |
12mg THC |
|
60ml / about 2 oz |

These are mathematical estimates based on a 200mg / 750ml bottle. Always follow the serving information and instructions on the product you actually have in front of you.

What's the Best THC Spirit Dose for Beginners?
The best dose is not the biggest one you can tolerate.
It's the amount that gives you enough feedback to understand your response without overshooting it.
2.5mg THC
This is the cautious end.
If you've never used THC, are particularly sensitive to it, or simply want the most room to adjust, around 2.5mg can make sense as a first test.
From a 200mg / 750ml Spirit bottle, that's roughly 9–10ml.
Tiny pour. Useful information.
5mg THC
For many adults, 5mg is the more practical beginner target.

It is enough to produce noticeable effects for many people without immediately jumping into a stronger 10mg+ serving.
From a Little Rick Spirit bottle, roughly 18–20ml works out to about 5mg THC.
Our article on 5mg THC drink effects goes deeper into what that dose may feel like.
10mg THC
10mg can be considerably more noticeable.
It may suit someone who already has THC experience and knows that 5mg feels comfortable, but we would not automatically make it the starting point for a true first-timer.
Around 37–38ml of a 200mg / 750ml Spirit bottle gives you roughly 10mg THC.
15mg THC
15mg moves further into experienced-user territory.
Someone who already understands how they respond to 5mg and 10mg may choose it, but there is little reason for a beginner to jump here.
You would need about 56ml from a 200mg / 750ml bottle.
20mg+ THC
Not beginner territory.
Higher doses may feel substantially stronger and can increase the chance of unpleasant effects such as dizziness, anxiety, nausea, confusion, or simply being much higher than you intended.
Your first THC spirit pour is not the moment to freestyle.
Measure it like the jigger has a job.

These aren't promises of exactly how you'll feel.
THC response can change based on:
-
tolerance
-
food intake
-
metabolism
-
previous cannabis use
-
body chemistry
-
other substances
-
product format
-
time between servings
Two people can drink the same number of milligrams and have very different evenings.
THC has never been particularly interested in standardized customer service.
How to Pour a THC Spirit Responsibly
The advantage of a Spirit bottle is flexibility.
The disadvantage is also flexibility.
1. Read the Label First
Before pouring, check:
-
total THC
-
serving guidance
-
bottle instructions
-
warnings
Do this even if you've had another THC Spirit before.
Products can have different potency.
2. Use a Measuring Tool
Use a:
-
jigger
-
marked shot glass
-
measuring cup
-
other accurate measuring tool
Do not rely on “roughly that much.”
Free-pouring works better when the substance in question isn't measured in psychoactive milligrams.
3. Add Mixer Without Adding More THC
Want a larger drink?
Make the drink larger, not the THC dose.
Add:
-
sparkling water
-
tonic
-
ginger beer
-
lemonade
-
fruit juice
-
citrus
-
ice
A 5mg THC serving can live inside a tall glass.
The glass does not need to be 5mg-sized.
For actual serve ideas, we've got 10 THC mocktail recipes that make much better use of the bottle than drinking it like a shot.
4. Sip Slowly
This isn't a tequila shot.

Build the drink, sip it, and give the THC time to do its thing.
The whole point of THC Spirits is keeping the cocktail ritual while replacing traditional liquor.
5. Wait Before Pouring More
Don't assume the first serving failed because you haven't noticed much immediately.
Wait.
Dose, tolerance, food, metabolism, timing, and formulation can all influence how quickly THC feels noticeable.
Taking more too quickly is one of the easiest ways to turn “this isn't doing much” into “ah, there it is.”
Is One Shot of THC Spirit the Same as One Shot of Alcohol?
No.

A standard liquor-style shot is simply a volume measurement.
It tells you how much liquid is in the glass, not how much THC you should consume.
With Little Rick's current 200mg / 750ml Spirit, a:
-
30ml / roughly 1 oz pour contains about 8mg THC
-
45ml / roughly 1.5 oz pour contains about 12mg THC
-
60ml / roughly 2 oz pour contains about 16mg THC
So blindly using a traditional shot size could put a beginner above the dose they actually wanted.
THC and alcohol are also different intoxicants with different effects and timing.
Do not assume:
one shot of alcohol = one serving of THC Spirit.
And don't combine the two just because they happen to share glassware. The CDC notes that using cannabis and alcohol together can increase impairment.
If the goal is replacing the booze rather than stacking substances, our THC drinks vs alcohol guide covers that comparison properly.
How Long Should You Wait Before Drinking More THC Spirit?
Give the first measured serving time before increasing the dose.
There isn't one exact clock time that works for everybody because effects vary by formulation, THC dose, tolerance, metabolism, food intake, and the individual.
The useful rule is simpler:
Do not pour more just because you're impatient.
If you're still working out how THC beverages fit into an evening, our guide to how long THC drinks last goes deeper into timing and duration.
Common THC Spirit Dosage Mistakes

Free-Pouring Like Liquor
Probably the easiest mistake.
A little splash becomes a slightly larger splash, and suddenly nobody knows how many milligrams are actually in the drink.
That's not dosing.
That's vibes-based accounting.
Forgetting the Bottle Has 200mg Total
The full 750ml bottle contains 200mg THC.
It is made to be portioned, mixed, and shared—not treated as a single serving.
Making a Batch Drink Without Doing the Math
THC punch can work.
Mystery THC punch should not.
Before serving a batch, calculate:
total THC added ÷ number of servings = THC per serving
Then label it clearly.
Mixing THC With Alcohol
We don't recommend it.
Use the Spirit as an alcohol alternative, then build around it with alcohol-free mixers.
Combining cannabis and alcohol can increase impairment.
Drinking Before Driving
Don't.
THC can slow reaction time, impair coordination, affect judgment, and distort perception. If you've consumed THC, do not drive or operate machinery.
Ignoring Drug-Test Risk
Hemp-derived THC is still THC.
If passing a drug test matters, treat any THC Spirit as a genuine drug-testing risk.
Low dose does not mean zero risk.
How Much Little Rick THC Spirit Should You Use in Cocktails?
Start with your target THC dose, then build the rest of the cocktail around it.

For a 200mg THC / 750ml bottle:
|
Target Dose |
Approx. Little Rick Spirit Pour |
|
2.5mg THC |
~9–10ml |
|
5mg THC |
~18–20ml |
|
10mg THC |
~37–38ml |
|
15mg THC |
~56ml |
Then add whatever makes the drink actually worth drinking:
-
sparkling water
-
tonic
-
ginger beer
-
citrus
-
fruit juice
-
ice
The THC amount stays measured.
The mixer does the stretching.
That's the nice thing about a THC Spirit: you don't need more THC just because you want a taller drink.
If you want something simple, start around 2.5mg to 5mg, add plenty of mixer and ice, sip slowly, and see how your body responds.
Because with a THC Spirit, the bottle may say 200mg.
Your glass doesn't have to.
